I
wasn’t the first person to understand the value of a “green” region
and must take the time to thank those with the foresight to recognise
the enormous potential of a marketing destination that would
appeal to a world wide market.
Hence the Great
Green Way - an absolutely stunning and unique destination
that encompasses the area between Crystal Creek south of Ingham
to Gordonvale north of Innisfail and includes many towns and
other destinations in between.

Tully’s
Golden Gumboot was erected to recognise the highest
ever rainfall recorded of 7.9 metres in 1950.

The
Great Green Way can boast having both the World Heritage listed
Wet Tropics Rainforests at our back door and the Great Barrier
Reef at our front door – the greatest barrier reef on the
planet today. We also have the highest mountain in Queensland and
the largest island national park with its mangrove everglades.
The area also boasts its fair share of world renowned islands including
Hinchinbrook, Dunk, Bedarra, Orpheus and Lizard Islands just to
name a few.
So come on
board the “Frog Express” and
make it your “express”,
to help you experience this “simply the best” and most
beautiful part of Queensland. |

can be seen behind Mt Mackay in the background.
